People love giving others advice. For some reason, though each of us has our own lives to live and should be evaluating our own problems, we all find it easier to pick apart other people's lives, while pointing out to them where they've gone wrong. Even if the advice is well-meaning, people forget that they haven't lived the life of the one they propose to counsel. There is no way that they can understand all the aspects of the decisions they have had to make.

I find this to be true even for Christians. If we are truly Christians, with Christ Jesus living in our hearts, we strive to listen for His voice and to obey His commands. God IS always the same ~ He never changes ~ He always has been, and always will be. Yet, how He deals with His children is very personalized. He who knows all things sees everything about every one of His children. And with all of our weaknesses, our strengths, our sinfulness, and each of our unique individual traits, He guides and instructs us through pitfalls,  then lifts us up so that we can try to learn the lessons again. If and when we do, then there He moves on together with us through more hills and valleys.

We must let Jesus Christ be the One to lead us. And as He does, we must trust He has led us in the right way ~ the Way of the Lord. Even when others don't understand my obedience to the Lord, His voice must be the One that I listen to and follow.

And thine ears shall hear a Word behind thee, saying, This IS the Way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
~ Isaiah 30:21

When He speaks to me, I am given a sense of peace. Whatever troubles I have been facing on my own, no longer seem enormous and daunting. This change happens within me, and happens the second that I realize I can't handle my fears, and give them to the Lord for Him to deal with.

With Him IS wisdom and strength, He hath counsel and understanding.
~ Job 12:13

Again, we must trust our God who IS all-knowing, all-powerful, and present in all things.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God IS with thee whithersoever thou goest.
~ Joshua 1:9

Thank You, Father God, for always knowing me, for always knowing which Way I should turn, and for showing me the paths to walk on. Thank You, LORD, for being my strength, and for being with me always. Amen.
