Keeping Our Minds Set On Things Above

Even when the earth was still young, there was prophecy of the birth of Christ Jesus.
.... there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel.... ~ from Numbers 24:17
And the Gentiles shall come to thy Light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. ~ Isaiah 60:3
From the beginning, the people of God have kept they're eyes looking above, to God who IS in heaven. In reverence and awe, the wise men followed the Star to where the baby Jesus was born.
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Saying, Where is He that IS born King of the Jews? for we have seen His Star in the east, and are come to worship Him. ~ Matthew 2:1-2
For as long as man has existed, those who want to know God are restless until He can be found. When the Lord meets them in their need, they find that they only need to look above, to Him. He came to this earth to save us, every day of our lives, and most importantly, for all of eternity.
If ye be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. ~ Colossians 3:1-2
Until He returns, we must continue to have our hearts and minds set on the things of God, looking up to Jesus His Son, our Lord and Savior.... and one day, upon clouds from heaven, He shall appear in all His glory.
Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
I Am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, saith the Lord, which IS, and was, and which IS to come, the Almighty. ~ Revelation 1:7-8
LORD, help my eyes, my heart, my mind, and my spirit remain focused on things from above, on Jesus my King, my Blessed Redeemer. !!! Thank You, Father God, in Jesus Christ's precious Name !!!
