How Beautiful to be Forgiven

June 26, 2010
I, even I, AM He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
Put Me in rememberance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
~ Isaiah 43:25-26

When we ask the LORD God through His Son, Jesus Christ, for forgiveness He IS faithful in hearing our pleas and in His great and glorious Love, He redeems us our sins. For His own sake He cleanses us from our impurities that we humbly bring before Him, and promises never to remember them.

I think of this as I look back at my life, knowing all the horrific sins that I have commited against my God, and my heart cries in an inexpressible thankfulness. Being forgiven, being cleansed, being made new by Christ's purifying blood IS more than I could ever deserve! And I pray that the Lord Will keep me seperate from the sins of my past, and keep my eyes looking forward to the completion of His Will being accomplished.

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I Will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I Will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
~ Isaiah 43:18-19

In looking forward, I can remember the Lord's wonderful promise of being reunited with God for ever! because I am a child of the King!

Open ye the gates; that the righteous nation which keepeth the Truth may enter in.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH IS everlasting strength.
~ Isaiah 26:2-4

No matter what trials our lives come to see, or what calamity visits us upon this earth, the children of God MUST remember and be comforted ~ KNOWING that God Will bring all things to an end, and redeem His people.
!!! Thank You, LORD God ~ Thank You, Lord, Jesus ~ Thank You, Holy Spirit !!!

Forgive and you shall be Forgiven

March 14, 2010
We have sinned with our fathers, we have commited iniquity, we have done wickedly.
Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked Him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
Nevertheless He saved them for His Name's sake, that He might make His power to be known.
~ Psalm 106:6-8

I can understand how the Bible says the sins of the Father shall be visited upon the children (Exodus 34:7). Throughout my life I have found again and again that I...

Desire God's Will

March 11, 2010
All over the Bible we are told to pray. But what are we truly to be praying for? A lot of churches teach that we should pray for what we desire, and then we are to believe that it's already done. Yet, I wonder why they aren't teaching that we should be careful for what we desire. Yes, I agree that we should be specific in our prayers to the Lord. He wants for us to have an open and honest relationship with Him. Yes, I believe that we should tell Him all of our desires. As we give to Him our t...

Repent & Sin No More

March 7, 2010
Do you know that we all have been born into sin? The only human that was without sin was the Lord Jesus Christ. All of us are wicked. Our flesh that we wear craves pleasure and praise, power and control. Yet God, who created us can fulfill all of our desires, in this life, and in the Life to come. All we have to do is repent, asking Christ for forgiveness of our sins, and to turn away from our sins. That is the part that many people don't want to acknowledge. They want to continue walking in ...

Watch for His Light Through the Darkness

March 1, 2010
The people which sat in darkness saw great Light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death Light IS sprung up.
~ Matthew 4:16

This verse gives me much hope, as I am seeing death all around me. There are major earthquakes, famines, tainted waters, diseases, murderers, hate-filled words pouring out of everyone near and far. God IS faithful. His Word tells us that He IS coming to bring judgment upon the earth, and to avenge His people. I believe in the Holy Name of Jesus, my Lord, ...

HEAR! for once again, I say, HE IS COMING

February 17, 2010

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it IS nigh at hand.
~ Joel 2:1

From a dream that I once had, a few years ago, I heard a trumpet blaring. There was no vision in the dream, but I heard a voice saying, "Prepare the Way. He IS ready." In my heart, my spirit, my entire being, I KNEW that Jesus Christ my Lord was the One that the voice was speaking of. !!! He IS coming !!! I believe t...

Remember, He IS Coming ~ Be Ready

February 4, 2010
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day IS with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
The Lord is not slacking concerning His promise as some men count slackness; but IS longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentence.
But the day of the Lord Will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth als...

Little or a Lot, My Treasure IS His

January 28, 2010
One sure thing in my life is how God is faithful to reassure me that He has me going on the right path. I was being really down on myself, wondering what I did wrong to have a book out there that never was really published, and to have such a hard time getting my work accepted after that. I began wondering if I was doing right with what God gave me to write, or if I should just stop altogether.

Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
A man's heart deviseth his ...

Hidden in Him

January 23, 2010
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
~ Psalm 91:1

I love this verse, because I envision myself being a small child walking beneath her heavenly Father, Him being so Great, full of Love, protective, close, and always watchful. With my God, I am safe, no matter what I come to meet in this life, or the eternal Life to come.

Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pav...

Repent Unto the Lord

January 19, 2010
Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath commited, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath commited, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Yet saith the house of Israel, The Way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not My Ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
Therefore I Will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,...

Who God IS still making me to be:

Melody Calhoun
Beautiful Alaska

Melody Calhoun Obviously, I love to write. Words have always been intriguing to me, especially when they are eloquently put together to convey to others one's personality, as well as their veiwpoint on life all around them. I believe that writing is very theraputical, as you get to put some order to the thoughts that crowd our minds and lay heavy on our hearts. As a Christian who wants all that I write to be pleasing and acceptable unto the Lord, my works become even more than that, because I know that He has purposes I cannot even perceive or comprehend in all things done for Him. Other than writing, I like to spend time with my family. We're an odd little bunch! and we like to have fun together. Unfortunately, just like all other families, we don't always get along, but the Lord IS gracious and reminds us all of the Love He gives us to share. Hmmm,,, I love chocolate cocoanut bars; fish and chicken are my favorite foods; purple and green interwoven into and out of one another are my preffered colors; I have always felt blessed by the ministry that God has given Billy Graham; music is essential, and Jeremy Camp is my favorite Christian artist; I love Ansal Adams photography; and I absolutely Love the writings of Paul in the New Testament. Other than that, I'm pretty mellow. Smile,,, at least sometimes.
