More Thanks-giving

November 28, 2008

Wow! I am so grateful to the Lord for giving us a successful dinner yesterday! That was the first turkey that my husband ever cooked, and I was no help at all since I am not a kitchen person. Well, my son and I peeled potatoes, cleaned up, set the table, and did all the little things. The turkey ended up tasting wonderful!

We normally do not even celebrate the holiday of the month as does the rest of the world. As I've said earlier in my blog, we are to be thankful for all things always. Still, the church that we attend gave us a turkey dinner, and there was a friend of mine that didn't have anywhere to go, so we invited her.

Though it would seem that nothing spectacular happened, I was delighted to see the Lord answering my prayers. He softened hearts, got us all working together, and helped us to walk in kindness and Love.

I am thankful that God guides us every time we remember to ask for His direction.

Let our hearts be thankful this day and always!

November 27, 2008
My hope is that your today will be blessed with Love and peace. This world labels one day out of the year "Thanksgiving". But I would rather us give thanks to the Lord every day of our lives, even when we cannot feel His presence. God IS the Creator and giver of all things. Every blessing comes from above, and God IS the One that answers prayers. I pray that all of the children of God will join me in spirit, and give Him thanks, praise the LORD, the Most High!

!!! Glory Hallelujia !!! for God ...

Thoughts to Inspire

November 25, 2008

Hello, and welcome to my blogger. I just wanted a space where I could write my creative thoughts, share with others, and hopefully be a blessing to your day. Being a writer isn't easy at times. Writer's blog is stressful, because you're unable to do what you naturally are inclined to do. When this happens for me, I like to just jot down little scribbles of ideas, doodle little pieces here and there, and spend time praying to the Lord Jesus, reading His Word, and wait for His direction. Someti...

Who God IS still making me to be:

Melody Calhoun
Beautiful Alaska

Melody Calhoun Obviously, I love to write. Words have always been intriguing to me, especially when they are eloquently put together to convey to others one's personality, as well as their veiwpoint on life all around them. I believe that writing is very theraputical, as you get to put some order to the thoughts that crowd our minds and lay heavy on our hearts. As a Christian who wants all that I write to be pleasing and acceptable unto the Lord, my works become even more than that, because I know that He has purposes I cannot even perceive or comprehend in all things done for Him. Other than writing, I like to spend time with my family. We're an odd little bunch! and we like to have fun together. Unfortunately, just like all other families, we don't always get along, but the Lord IS gracious and reminds us all of the Love He gives us to share. Hmmm,,, I love chocolate cocoanut bars; fish and chicken are my favorite foods; purple and green interwoven into and out of one another are my preffered colors; I have always felt blessed by the ministry that God has given Billy Graham; music is essential, and Jeremy Camp is my favorite Christian artist; I love Ansal Adams photography; and I absolutely Love the writings of Paul in the New Testament. Other than that, I'm pretty mellow. Smile,,, at least sometimes.
